Seeing Double

I could never justify going to school to earn an Art Degree. I have nothing opposed to it, in fact in retrospect I really wish that I had. It came down to how I was raised and the ideas that my parents instilled in me as being important, studying art felt like a waste of an education. That being said, I could never stay away and still I took a few photography classes back in my community college days. My favorite was taking the film photography class and learning how to develop film and the opportunity to work in the dark room. The process was a tad time consuming but it never stopped blowing my mind to see the photograph literally come to life right before my eyes. I'm glad I took these classes because to this day I met wonderful people that I occasionally keep in touch with, a camaraderie amongst us for our sheer love of photography.

One of the classes that I took was a digital a photography and photoshop class. It was then that I started playing around with layers and adding textures to my photographs. Of course at the time I was still pretty green and didn't know what I was doing, but the effect always stuck with me. I was reminded of it the other day for whatever reason and decided I needed to do some double exposure shots in Photoshop.

This will probably end up being a project that I'll continue, especially now that I know what I'm looking for!

These are awesome! Though I love film photography, I am consistently impressed with what the digital world can do. Can't wait to see more!
